Saw polly in petersfield last night. What an awesome performance. Her voice sounded even better than several years ago at the same venue. The new material fantastic. I took quite a few people along who had never heard her before. With the exception of my tennis coach who was busy on the pull, and two friends who had to leave to catch the train, everyone stayed until the end and there are at least five new fans converted. I always feel a bit sad after such a performance that polly is not playing to thousands, her music and live performance merit that. Also I wonder how she feels about the sacrifices in terms of time not spent with her family when playing to smaller audiences. All I can say is that it was on of the concert highlights of the year and her efforts in being there to perform were obviously appreciated by the entire audience.
