Polly spent all day 9 February at Cecil Sharp House in London in the company of musicians Maz O’Connor, Jack Harris and John Parker, mucking about with some old folk songs.
Polly was there as part of the EFDSS Creative Bursary programme.
They are working up some versions of folk songs that Polly has a theory may have inspired Angela Carter’s beautiful feminist magic surrealist texts — and which she’s researching as part of a Masters programme at King’s College London.
The ensemble will be doing an informal ‘sharing’ of their work on the afternoon of March 12 at Cecil Sharp House. If you are interested in coming, tweet Polly @pollypaulusma.
